Two charged for organizing illegal exit of 10 Chinese nationals

Authorities in Quang Tri Province have charged two men with organizing the illegal departure of 10 Chinese nationals from Vietnam. Nguyen Phuc An, 33, and Duong Dang Cuong, 48, both from Hue city, face charges for facilitating illegal exit.

The arrests occurred on the evening of July 3, when the Exit and Entry Management Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security's Traffic Police Department and Dong Son Ward Police, inspected two vehicles on the North-South expressway. The car driven by An was carrying five Chinese nationals, while Cuong's vehicle transported another five.

During questioning, An and Cuong confessed they were hired to transport the undocumented foreigners from Da Nang to Hanoi. The group intended to continue their journey to China. The 10 Chinese individuals acknowledged their illegal entry into Vietnam and confirmed they lacked valid exit documents. The case has been transferred to the Quang Tri Provincial Police's Security Investigation Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
