Two motorcycles in RXZ Members convoy catch fire after crash

Two motorcycles were destroyed by fire following a collision while participating in a convoy for the RXZ Members program in Terengganu. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. on July 30, on Kilometer 100 of Jalan Kuantan-Segamat, near Politeknik Muadzam Shah. Both riders, aged 34 and 41, sustained injuries and were transported to Muadzam Shah Hospital. Initial police investigations indicate that one of the motorcycles, a Yamaha RXZ, was traveling from Johor to Terengganu. It reportedly fell on the road and was subsequently struck by a Suzuki TXR150 coming from behind. The collision caused both motorcycles to skid along the road surface before catching fire. Fortunately, bystanders intervened and rescued the riders before the flames intensified and consumed the vehicles. Rompin District Police Chief, Superintendent Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoi, stated that the 41-year-old victim suffered injuries to his left hand and various cuts on his body, arms, and legs. The other rider sustained a head injury along with wounds to his body, arms, and legs. The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
