U.S. artificial intelligence company Genspark has officially entered the South Korean market, launching its AI recorder and the latest version of its AI Workspace, version 6.0. The company's strategy focuses on differentiation through a physical, card-type recording device, dubbed the "Second Brain Note," and an AI workspace that enables multiple AI agents to leverage past work history for subsequent tasks. Genspark intends to broaden its reach by forming partnerships with prominent South Korean corporations, including LG Uplus. The company believes this approach will help it secure market leadership. Recent trends in AI development indicate a shift from solely focusing on model performance to emphasizing the AI's ability to deeply understand and connect with real-world work contexts. A report by Glin, an enterprise AI search platform, highlighted that only 13% of employees felt their organization's performance significantly improved after AI adoption. A key reason cited for this limited impact is the discontinuity of work context once a task is completed. Genspark's "Second Brain" aims to address this limitation by providing an integrated auxiliary memory space. This system is designed to store not only emails, schedules, and conversation records but also data from platforms like HubSpot, creating a comprehensive repository for AI-driven tasks.
