U.S. should clarify visa revocation for Andy López Beltrán, says Kenia López; two reasons possible

Kenia López Rabadán, president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, has called for transparency from the United States government regarding the revocation of Andrés Manuel López Beltrán's visa. She emphasized the importance of understanding the specific reasons behind the U.S. decision.

López Rabadán outlined two complex possibilities for such visa revocations, as mentioned by a U.S. spokesperson. These include engaging in criminal activities or being considered a risk to U.S. public security. A more severe possibility is the alleged support of terrorist organizations, which in the U.S. context can include drug cartels.

She commented that such accusations and characterizations do not contribute to a positive relationship with the United States, a key trading partner and neighbor.
