Ukraine attacks Russian e-commerce warehouses, causing major fires

Ukraine has launched a series of attacks targeting major warehouses of Russian e-commerce giants Ozon and Wildberries in recent days. The strikes, primarily carried out by drones, have resulted in significant fires and substantial damage, with reports indicating losses in the billions of dollars.

On Monday, an Ozon warehouse in the Krasnodar region caught fire following a drone attack. This incident followed a similar strike on Sunday that engulfed an Ozon warehouse in the Orenburg region, leading to the suspension of its operations. Earlier attacks also hit an Ozon center in the Samara region, causing injuries to employees, and another facility near St. Petersburg.

The Ukrainian military has declared the commencement of a new campaign specifically targeting Ozon, having previously claimed to have struck 15 major Wildberries centers. Some of the targeted warehouses reportedly contained large quantities of flammable goods, exacerbating the fires and destruction.

These attacks represent a significant escalation in Ukraine's efforts to disrupt Russian economic infrastructure. The targeting of major logistics hubs for prominent online retailers highlights a strategic shift in Ukraine's operational focus.
