Ukraine killed 11 in tourist camp: Russia claims

Russian authorities reported that 11 people, among them four children, died in an overnight attack on a holiday camp in the Zaporizhzhia region, which is under Russian control. Moscow accused Kyiv on Saturday of deliberately targeting civilians.

Ukraine has not yet issued an immediate response to these claims. Moscow stated that Ukraine launched over 300 drones, resulting in at least two deaths in a border region and reaching as far as the Ural city of Yekaterinburg.

Meanwhile, Ukraine announced on Saturday that its drones successfully struck a Russian oil platform in the Caspian Sea and an oil refinery located in Siberia. Both Kyiv and Moscow reported striking ships carrying military cargo. The targeted energy facilities are situated more than 700 km and 2,000 km from Ukrainian territory, respectively. This highlights the growing capability of Kyiv's campaign to utilize long-range drones to weaken Russia's war efforts and pressure the Kremlin towards peace negotiations.

Ukraine's strike targeted the Filanovsky oil platform, operated by Russia's Lukoil, which is part of Russia's largest Caspian oil field. In the Black Sea, Russia's defense ministry asserted that its drones had hit a bulk carrier transporting military supplies for the Ukrainian army.
