Ukraine Strikes Russian Port Novorossiisk with 15 Domestic Weapons Systems

Ukraine has successfully struck a key Russian Black Sea port using a combination of 15 domestically produced weapons systems. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the coordinated attack on Novorossiisk, which targeted Russian warships, a grain terminal, and naval infrastructure.

The operation, which involved a mix of air and naval drones, as well as missile systems, showcased Ukraine's expanding indigenous defense capabilities. Zelenskyy highlighted the use of systems like Palianytsia, Peklo, Bars, and Long Neptune, alongside drones such as Mici, Fire Point, Ramzai, and naval drones like Sargan and Mamai.

According to OSINT projects, the attack caused significant damage to the Novorossiisk Grain Factory's storage and transport facilities, impacting one of the main grain terminals responsible for approximately 12% of Russian grain exports. While two other terminals were unaffected, the three terminals together account for about 40% of Russia's grain exports, with most passing through the Azov-Black Sea basin.

This strike underscores Ukraine's ability to project power and degrade Russian military and economic assets without relying solely on Western-supplied long-range weaponry, marking a significant development in its defense strategy.
