Ukrainian Drones Damage Key Russian Grain Terminal in Taman

Ukrainian drones have struck a significant grain terminal in Taman, a port located on the Taman Peninsula bordering the Black and Azov Seas. According to Reuters, citing sources, the terminal sustained serious damage. This facility is operated by Demetra-Holding, a company central to Russia's grain trade and export operations, managing elevators, deep-water terminals, and transportation.

The attack is reportedly linked to Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian logistics and military capabilities. The export route through the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, which previously handled 25% of Russia's grain exports, was halted on July 10 due to Russian drone attacks. This recent strike on the Taman terminal further impacts Russia's grain export infrastructure.

This incident is part of a larger Ukrainian operation, dubbed "MoŁoCzKa," targeting Russian commercial shipping and the so-called "shadow fleet" – vessels involved in transporting sanctioned Russian oil. Since July 6, Ukrainian drones have reportedly attacked 130 ships in the Sea of Azov and 75 in the Black Sea. The commander of Ukraine's drone forces, Robert "Madziar" Browdi, stated that Ukraine will persevere, vowing, "Moscow will fall. The Kremlin will be rebuilt."
