UMNO Youth's 77-Year Struggle Built on Courage, Not Ease: Leader

The 77-year journey of UMNO Youth has been anything but easy, yet the challenges faced have forged its current strength and resilience, said Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh, the leader of UMNO Youth Malaysia.

The struggle was never promised to be easy. There were times our voices were misunderstood, our steps questioned, our loyalty tested, and the path always presented various challenges. However, these trials have shaped UMNO Youth into what it is today.

I always believe that if you want to see the strength of a nation, look at its young people. If their principles are firm, their steps brave, and their loyalty unwavering, then that nation still has a future.

He elaborated that the youth wing was not nurtured in comfort but cultivated through the courage to stand firm when others remained silent. Their existence, he noted, is rooted in loyalty and perseverance, even when the fight offers no accolades. "I always believe that if you want to see the strength of a nation, look at its young people," Akmal said. "If their principles are firm, their steps brave, and their loyalty unwavering, then that nation still has a future."

Don't just inherit the name of this struggle. Also inherit the courage to carry and defend it.

Akmal urged members not to merely inherit the legacy of the struggle but to also embrace the courage required to uphold and defend it. He concluded by wishing UMNO Youth Malaysia a happy 77th anniversary, reiterating that while the journey may be difficult, they were never bred to surrender.
