UPDF Communications Officers Urged to Embrace Innovation and Modern Technology

Newly trained Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) communications officers have been challenged to embrace innovation and modern technology in their roles. Col. Simon Rabunyonyi Mwebaza, representing the Joint Staff Communications, Information Technology and Signals, stressed the importance of applying acquired knowledge and skills to develop practical solutions.

Mwebaza called on the officers to focus on enhancing operational effectiveness and bolstering the force's overall communication capabilities. This directive underscores the UPDF's commitment to modernizing its communication infrastructure and strategies to meet contemporary security challenges.

The emphasis on practical application means that the training received should translate directly into tangible improvements in how the UPDF communicates, both internally and externally. The goal is to ensure that the force remains agile, responsive, and technologically adept in its operations.
