Uruguay forecast for Thursday, Sept. 3: Unstable weather expected across the country

Uruguay will face an unstable Thursday, with increasing cloud cover in several areas and temperatures ranging from 7°C to 24°C, according to the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology.

The northwest and northeast are likely to see rain and thunderstorms from the morning, with winds shifting through the day. The northwest could reach 24°C, while the northeast is forecast to range from 9°C to 22°C.

In the southwest and central-southern areas, cloudy skies, mist and fog banks are expected, along with isolated rain and thunderstorms. Gusts could reach 50 km/h. Maximum temperatures are forecast at 19°C in the southwest and 18°C in the central south.

The east, including Montevideo and the metropolitan area, is expected to remain cloudy to overcast in the morning, with mist, fog banks, rain and isolated thunderstorms. Conditions should improve gradually later, although cloud cover, mist and isolated showers or storms may continue. Temperatures in the east are forecast between 7°C and 18°C.
