Uruguay ministry hires five architects for infrastructure projects

The Ministry of Housing and Territorial Ordering (MVOT) in Uruguay has announced a call for applications for five architect positions focused on infrastructure project management. These roles, designated as "Asesor III," will involve studying, monitoring, and managing tender processes and other related works for various MVOT programs.

The positions offer a 12-month provisional contract with a nominal salary of $96,608 Uruguayan pesos, equivalent to roughly $2,400 USD at current exchange rates, for a 40-hour work week. The salary comprises a base of $58,636 plus a $37,972 compensation. Vacancies are available in Montevideo, Flores, Soriano, Tacuarembó, and Artigas.

Essential requirements include a degree in architecture from the University of the Republic or an equivalent recognized institution. Preferred qualifications include experience in construction management or project management, proficiency in software like Office, BIM, Revit, and AutoCAD, and at least one year of professional experience in public or private sectors, particularly in housing programs or project management.

Selected candidates must be willing to travel within the country and reside within 50 kilometers of their assigned work location. Key responsibilities include contributing to tender documents, providing comprehensive advice to citizens with housing issues, participating in the implementation of socio-housing components, and coordinating with institutional teams and other social policy executors in the territory.
