Uruguay's OSE Opens Public Call for 18 Positions with a Salary of $52,407; Applications Due September 8

State Sanitation Works (OSE) in Uruguay has launched a public job recruitment drive, seeking to fill 18 positions across various departments nationwide. The opening is for the role of Official B, category 5, within the E echelon, requiring a completed basic education cycle (third year of high school or technical education).

The monthly nominal salary for these positions is set at $52,407 Uruguayan pesos, with a standard 40-hour work week. Successful candidates must be available for rotating shifts, as the roles involve 24/7 operational coverage, and may also require occasional travel within the country. The positions will be distributed across different regions, including Litoral Norte, Litoral Sur, Centro, Noreste, Sureste, and Montevideo.

In line with national legislation promoting diversity and inclusion, OSE has allocated specific quotas for certain groups. Two positions are reserved for individuals of Afro-descendant background, and one position is designated for transgender individuals, provided they meet all the application requirements. This initiative aligns with Uruguayan laws aimed at ensuring representation and equal opportunities.

Selected candidates will be responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of potable water supply systems, wastewater treatment, and water and sewage connections. Key tasks include collaborating on operational activities for water and wastewater management, performing excavation work, assisting with metalwork and carpentry, handling materials, and maintaining facilities.
