Upon resuming office, Trump signed an executive order declaring a crisis at the southern border and aimed to reverse what the White House described as the Biden administration's "record-shattering illegal immigration." The administration asserts that for 15 straight months, no illegal aliens have been released into the country. It also claims to have deported over 3 million illegal aliens, including thousands convicted of violent crimes.

Further measures include a "denaturalization surge" targeting individuals who obtained U.S. citizenship fraudulently, with claims filed against 88 ineligible recipients. The administration has also strengthened visa programs, paused processing for 75 high-risk countries, and moved to remove undocumented migrants from voter rolls in multiple states.
