Venezuela and Spain discuss cooperation opportunities

Venezuela and Spain are seeking to deepen their relationship by identifying new avenues for bilateral cooperation. The prospect emerged from a recent phone conversation between Venezuelan Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia and his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares.

Plasencia described the call as "cordial and productive," noting that the two ministers addressed "bilateral issues and opportunities for cooperation." The conversation also highlighted Spain's ongoing support for Venezuela's recovery efforts. Spain was among the first nations to respond to the devastating earthquake that struck Venezuela on June 24, deploying a rescue brigade and later establishing a field hospital in Caracas. The Spanish government has also provided significant financial aid and essential supplies through various channels, demonstrating a commitment to assisting Venezuela's reconstruction.
