Vičkačka Appointed Chancellor of Ministry of Health

L. Vičkačka officially began his duties as the Chancellor of the Lithuanian Ministry of Health on Monday, marking the completion of the primary stage in forming the ministry's leadership team. Health Minister Linas Kukuraitis emphasized that a strong and competent team has been assembled, ready to implement crucial changes within the health system.

"I am coming to apply my experience and competencies within the healthcare system," Vičkačka stated in a Ministry of Health announcement. "The health system and its proper functioning are important to every resident. I find it very meaningful to contribute to significant changes and tangible results precisely here."

Vičkačka holds a bachelor's and master's degree in social policy from the Faculty of Philosophy at Vilnius University. His professional background includes leading the non-governmental organization "Socialinis taksi," working at the state enterprise "Turto bankas," and serving as a senior advisor at the State Labour Inspectorate.

Prior to his current appointment, Vičkačka held positions as an advisor to the Speaker of the Seimas (Parliament) and as Head of Administration for the Democratic Union "Vardan Lietuvos." He also previously worked at the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, where he served as a minister's advisor and project manager, and as an advisor to the Deputy Speaker of the Seimas.
