Vietnam aims to train 10,000 AI specialists by 2030

Vietnam is setting an ambitious target to cultivate a robust artificial intelligence workforce, aiming to train a minimum of 10,000 AI specialists by the year 2030. This strategic initiative, approved by Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau, is encapsulated in the "National Artificial Intelligence Human Resource Development Program." The program's core objective is to bolster the nation's capabilities in AI development and management, fostering digital transformation across various sectors.

Beyond the specialized training for researchers, engineers, and experts, the plan extends to a broader segment of the population. It includes providing training and upskilling opportunities for at least 50,000 individuals with bachelor's degrees or higher. These individuals will focus on applying AI within specific priority industries, ensuring that the country can leverage AI technologies effectively.

The initiative underscores Vietnam's commitment to advancing its technological prowess and integrating AI into its economic development strategy. By investing in human capital, the nation seeks to position itself as a significant player in the global AI landscape.
