Vietnam Sends Condolences to China Following Devastating Tibet Floods

Vietnam has extended its condolences to China in the wake of severe flash floods that struck Tibet, causing significant loss of life and property. Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, a prominent member of the Vietnamese Politburo and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, sent a message of sympathy and solidarity.

The disaster occurred on August 26 in Gyirong County, within the city of Singatse in China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The flash floods resulted in a grave impact on the local population and infrastructure.

In her message to Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Hoài conveyed the sincere condolences and deepest sympathy of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to Wang, the CPPCC, the affected families, and the people in the disaster-stricken areas.

Hoài emphasized the traditional friendship and close cooperation between Vietnam and China, describing their relationship as "both comrades and brothers." She expressed the Vietnamese people's empathy and shared understanding of the difficulties and losses faced by their Chinese counterparts. Hoài voiced her confidence that under the "wise leadership" of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the effective governance of the Chinese government, coupled with the collective efforts of the people and the CPPCC, the affected regions will soon overcome the challenges, repair the damage, stabilize livelihoods, and resume production.
