Vilnius court orders waste plant management transfer from Energesman to VAATC

The Vilnius District Court has mandated that "Energesman" relinquish control of a waste processing plant to VAATC, the Vilnius County Waste Management Center. This ruling comes after VAATC terminated its contract with "Energesman" due to the latter's failure to meet its contractual obligations, sparking a dispute that has now been decided by the court.

"Energesman" has indicated its intention to comply with the court's order. The company will permit VAATC to utilize the plant's premises, buildings, and equipment. Furthermore, "Energesman" asserts that it will continue its waste management activities. The court's decision also prohibits "Energesman" from obstructing VAATC's waste processing operations at the facility.

The court had initially given "Energesman" a 20-day period, starting from July 20, to rectify its deficiencies. This deadline was set to expire on August 7. Failure to address the violations by this date would result in the contract being considered terminated. The court's ruling underscores the seriousness of the unfulfilled obligations that led to the contract termination and the subsequent legal action.
