Vilnius Waste Management in Naujoji Vilnia Complies with Requirements, Environmental Department Confirms

The Environmental Protection Department (AAD) has stated that waste management operations in Naujoji Vilnia are being conducted in accordance with established requirements, addressing public concerns about compliance.

Following discussions in the public sphere regarding the handling of mixed municipal waste in the Naujoji Vilnia district, the AAD conducted an investigation. The department's findings, determined in late July, confirmed that the waste management activities are in full adherence to the directives issued by the Vilnius City Municipality's Center for Emergency Operations (ESOC).

Specifically, the AAD's assessment verified that the waste storage requirements applicable to such activities are being met. This confirmation aims to clarify the situation and assure the public that the waste management practices in the area are compliant with regulatory standards.
