Violence in Morelos: Two Dead, Two Injured in String of Attacks

Morelos, Mexico – A wave of violence swept through three municipalities in the state of Morelos, leaving two men dead and two others wounded by gunfire. The attacks occurred over a span of less than 24 hours, highlighting a disturbing surge in armed incidents.

The most recent discovery took place Wednesday morning in the Lomas del Carril neighborhood of Temixco. Security forces found the body of a man wrapped in black plastic bags inside a residence. The State Attorney General's Office has initiated an investigation into this discovery.

Earlier on Wednesday, a motorcyclist was shot and robbed of his vehicle on the Paso Exprés highway in Cuernavaca. He was targeted by individuals on multiple motorcycles who brandished weapons before firing and fleeing with his bike. In another incident in Temixco's Arboledas de Acatlipa neighborhood, a man was fatally shot by assailants who escaped in a gray Nissan March.

The violent spree began Tuesday afternoon in Yautepec's El Zarco neighborhood, where a man was shot on 2 de Diciembre street. He survived the attack and was rushed to a hospital by paramedics.
