Vozinha, Cape Verde's World Cup star, to join Chilean club Colo Colo

Vozinha, the celebrated goalkeeper who was a key figure in Cape Verde's surprising 2026 World Cup campaign, is set to become a player for Chilean club Colo Colo. The announcement came from Colo Colo's president, Aníbal Mosa, who confirmed the transfer.

Mosa stated that Vozinha is expected to travel to Chile in the coming days. He will undergo the standard medical examinations before being officially presented at the Estadio Monumental. Vozinha, whose full name is Josimar José Évora Dias, was born in Mindelo on June 3, 1986, and had a late start to his professional career, signing his first pro contract at age 26.
