President Aleksandar Vučić highlighted the substantial contribution of German companies to Serbia's economic vitality, stating they now employ 80,000 individuals and serve as the engine of the nation's economy. This significant figure underscores the deep and evolving economic partnership between Serbia and Germany.

Vučić's meeting with Nils Anen, State Secretary in the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, focused on strengthening these ties. The discussion revolved around future collaboration in strategic sectors such as critical raw materials, defense, the automotive industry, and the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union's single market.

I informed the esteemed interlocutor about new cooperation opportunities, confident that additional joint activities could be realized in the areas of critical raw materials and mining, defense, the special and automotive industries, as well as regional cooperation and the integration of the Western Balkans into the single market of the European Union.

The Serbian President emphasized that collaborative projects over the last quarter-century have visibly reshaped Serbia. He expressed confidence that further joint activities, particularly in the aforementioned areas, would yield substantial benefits. Vučić also thanked Germany for its unwavering support in developing dual education, enhancing energy diversification, and improving Serbia's overall economic environment, acknowledging its crucial role during times of global uncertainty and economic volatility.
