Warisan Denies Pulling Out of Unity Government Amid Fake Statement

Parti Warisan Sabah has vehemently denied a viral social media post that falsely claimed the party was withdrawing from the unity government. The party's Secretary-General, Datuk Loretto Padua, stated that the circulated media statement is a fabrication and a deliberate attempt to defame and tarnish Warisan's image.

Padua condemned the individuals responsible, not only for spreading slander but also for forging official Warisan documents to appear as genuine party releases. "Warisan denies the statement circulating on social media and considers this another slander aimed at implicating and damaging Warisan," he said in a statement.

The false statement had claimed that Warisan decided to withdraw after extensive deliberation at all levels of leadership and grassroots. It further alleged that the party could no longer participate in the unity government due to fundamental differences in policy, administrative direction, and approaches to issues affecting the public interest. The fabricated statement also suggested Warisan would become an effective and constructive opposition bloc to uphold democratic principles at both state and national levels.
