Weather forecast for Lithuania's last summer weekend: What to expect

Lithuania is set for a pleasant end to the summer weekend, with Thursday offering dry conditions and ample sunshine. An anticyclone will dominate the weather, allowing for few clouds and pleasant temperatures ranging from 20-25 degrees Celsius. Light winds from the east and southeast will prevail, strengthening slightly during the day.

However, Saturday is expected to bring a shift in weather patterns as more moisture moves into the region. While the night may still see limited chances of rain despite thickening clouds, winds from the south will pick up, reaching speeds of 7-12 m/s. Temperatures will cool slightly, ranging from 11-16 degrees Celsius overnight.

The main change will occur on Saturday afternoon when an atmospheric front crosses Lithuania. This will bring short-lived rain showers to many areas, with some regions potentially experiencing thunderstorms. The southerly winds will intensify further, with gusts reaching up to 15-16 m/s in some places. Despite the rain, temperatures will climb to 18-23 degrees Celsius, reaching up to 24-25 degrees Celsius in the eastern parts of the country.
