Weather: Summer Heat Expected in Lower Saxony, Up to 33 Degrees Forecast

Residents of Lower Saxony, Germany, can expect hot summer weather today, with the German Weather Service (DWD) forecasting highs of up to 33 degrees Celsius in the south of the state. The DWD anticipates abundant sunshine across the northwestern part of the country. However, there is a possibility of thunderstorms developing in the evening.

Those enjoying the final days of their summer holidays on the islands can look forward to pleasant temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius. In contrast, the southern regions of Lower Saxony will experience the peak heat, reaching up to 33 degrees. Overnight, temperatures are expected to cool down to around 14 degrees Celsius.

Looking ahead to the start of the week, the southern part of the state is predicted to remain fair. Meanwhile, the northern half may see cloud cover and scattered showers throughout the day. Coastal areas will experience temperatures up to 22 degrees Celsius, while the islands will be slightly cooler at around 20 degrees. Southern Lower Saxony is expected to see temperatures climb back to the 30-degree mark.
