West Java Deputy Governor's Name Mentioned in Alleged Fraud Case; Lawyer Cites Misunderstanding

Andri Somantri, the individual who reported a case of alleged fraud involving Rp 3 billion, has issued an apology to West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan. Somantri stated that Setiawan's name was mistakenly drawn into the case and that the deputy governor had no involvement with or receipt of any funds.

There was a misunderstanding regarding this dispute, both from the respective legal representatives, and I apologize.

During a meeting with Setiawan's legal counsel, Jandri Ginting, Somantri explained that the dispute arose from a misunderstanding, including miscommunications among the legal representatives involved. He clarified that after reviewing data and evidence, it was agreed that the situation was purely a misunderstanding and that no funds were transferred to Erwan Setiawan. Somantri emphasized that his complaint was directed at Sherly Ingga Setiawati, not the deputy governor.

Jandri Ginting confirmed the meeting and welcomed Somantri's gesture of goodwill, acknowledging the misunderstanding. He expressed hope for a swift resolution to the matter and urged the public to avoid forming premature judgments or creating negative opinions about any party involved.
