Marking his 65th birthday, Obi reflected on his journey in public service, emphasizing that birthdays should be moments for gratitude, introspection, and a renewed commitment to serving humanity.

At sixty-five, birthdays should naturally become moments of deep reflection, moments to look back with gratitude to Almighty God for His abundant graces, examine the journey so far, and ask how the remaining years can be devoted more meaningfully to the service of God and humanity.

Obi stated that Nigeria's current realities demand a focus on addressing the challenges faced by millions, rather than engaging in excessive celebrations. Despite abundant resources, many Nigerians grapple with poverty, poor health, and limited opportunities. He believes that positions of privilege should be seen as chances to make a positive impact, consistently encouraging those wishing to honor him to redirect resources towards projects with lasting benefits.

To commemorate his birthday, Obi attended a Mass of Thanksgiving in Onitsha and later visited St. Raphael's Hospital in Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area. There, he donated ₦10 million to support the hospital's healthcare services. This visit underscored his conviction about the necessity for leaders to demonstrate compassion and provide essential support to those lacking access to vital services.
