Wike dismisses PDP Appeal Court claims, calls opponents ‘419ers’

The faction alleged that the ruling invalidated a high court decision which recognized the caretaker committee responsible for forming the party's current National Working Committee.

Wike characterized those propagating these claims as "419ers," a Nigerian colloquialism for fraudsters, indicating his strong disbelief in the authenticity of their assertions. The minister's strong rebuttal underscores the ongoing internal political wrangling within the PDP.

The core of the dispute appears to revolve around the legitimacy of the party's current leadership structure, specifically the National Working Committee, which emerged from the caretaker committee that Wike's faction supports.
