Wike shuts down secretariat for FG houses sales committee, creates new division

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has formally closed the secretariat of the Ad-hoc Committee on the Sale of Federal Government Houses (SFGH).

The minister also approved the establishment of a new division within the Department of Land Administration. This division will assume responsibility for all matters concerning the sale of Federal Government Houses in the FCT, a task previously managed by the now-dissolved SFGH.

While the secretariat had initially remained open to address any lingering issues from the committee's work, its formal closure signifies a complete transition. The FCT Administration is now directing the public to engage exclusively with the Department of Land Administration for any property sale-related inquiries.

Furthermore, the administration issued a stern warning to the public, urging them to be vigilant against individuals falsely claiming to be staff or members of the defunct committee or its secretariat. Both entities have been officially dissolved, and any such claims are fraudulent.
