Wildberries warehouse in Russia 'completely destroyed' in drone attack

A Wildberries logistics center in Russia's Tambov region was severely damaged by a Ukrainian drone attack overnight on August 26, according to reports.

The attack targeted the company's logistics hub in Kotovsk, causing a fire that engulfed a significant portion of the facility. Images and videos circulating online showed a large blaze at the site. Local authorities confirmed the incident, with the governor stating that the fire covered an area exceeding 100,000 square meters.

Wildberries, a major Russian e-commerce platform, reported that "goods supply is not being carried out" following the attack. The governor of the Tambov region declared that the warehouse in Kotovsk was completely destroyed by the fire. He also noted that while air defense forces destroyed 13 drones, three strike drones managed to hit the building.

Local officials requested residents to stay indoors for two days due to the potential risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. This incident is reportedly the eighth of the ten largest logistics centers operated by Wildberries to be taken out of service by Ukrainian drones since July, indicating a pattern of targeted strikes against the company's infrastructure.
