Woman seriously injured by lightning strike in Mani, Greece, amid severe storms

A severe weather event in Mani, Greece, has left a woman hospitalized with serious injuries after she was struck by lightning. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while the woman was inside her vehicle in Oitylo.

According to Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, who reported the event, the lightning strike necessitated the woman's transfer to the Sparta Hospital for medical treatment. The region was hit by torrential rains, which led to considerable problems on the road network and caused water to inundate homes and accommodations, with levels reaching windows in some areas.
