Yano Shiho: 'Sudden Father-in-Law's Death... Sarang's Trauma Lasted 2 Years'

Yano Shiho, wife of mixed martial arts fighter Choo Sung-hoon, is set to appear on the KBS 2TV entertainment program 'Pyeonstorang,' offering viewers a glimpse into her culinary routines and personal life.

During a pre-recorded segment, Yano prepared Chueotang, a traditional Korean dish, using her late mother-in-law's recipe. She explained that April marks the anniversary of her father-in-law's passing, a particularly difficult time for her husband, Choo Sung-hoon. His father died suddenly of a heart attack in April 2023.

Yano recounted the devastating moment she learned of his death, describing how she and her husband rushed to his side only to find he had already passed away. She also shared the profound impact this loss had on their family, particularly their daughter, Chu Sarang, who experienced about two years of trauma following the event. Yano noted that the passing of his father was a significant turning point in Choo Sung-hoon's life, leading to profound changes in him.
