Clearing storm drains and ensuring they are free of debris is also crucial to prevent flooding. Furthermore, the public is cautioned against pouring grease into the drainage system.

Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution, as roads may become waterlogged or flooded. They should also be aware of potential hazards such as fallen trees or debris. The SGIRPC also advises people to stay away from structures like walls, trees, and power lines that may be at risk of falling during the heavy rain and wind. The alert aims to ensure public safety and minimize damage from the anticipated weather.
