Zelenskyy Orders 1,000 Drone Strikes Daily on Russia

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal for Ukraine's military: to launch 1,000 long-range drone strikes into Russia daily. This directive aims to escalate pressure on Russia's war machine.

"The task is 1,000 drones for long-range sanctions (drone attacks on targets deep within Russia) per day against Russia," Zelenskyy stated in a video address. He noted that Ukraine currently averages around 300 drone attacks each day, declaring, "There will be more. This is a completely realistic goal, and we will accomplish this task."

The increase in drone strike intensity was a key topic during a recent meeting between Zelenskyy and military leadership. Alongside expanding offensive capabilities, the discussion also focused on strengthening Ukraine's defense against Russian attacks, including those utilizing Shahed jet drones.

Ukraine has been conducting drone raids on various targets within Russia, ranging from border areas to locations deep inside the country. The primary targets have been facilities within the fuel industry. Since mid-July, logistics centers, including those belonging to the e-commerce company Wildberries, have also been attacked. Ukraine views these as legitimate military targets due to their role in supporting Russia's ongoing war effort.
