Zhubei City Continues 'Golden Commuter Line' Service with Flexible Back-to-School Schedule Adjustments

Zhubei City in Taiwan's Hsinchu County is set to continue its "Golden Commuter Line" shuttle service for students starting next Monday, August 31st. The service, which connects students traveling between cities for school, will see flexible adjustments to its afternoon drop-off schedule during the first week of the new academic term.

The "Golden Commuter Line" will continue to provide shuttle services starting next Monday (31st); considering the different school schedules in the first week of school, the office has adjusted the drop-off bus schedule.

Zhubei Mayor Cheng Chao-fang explained that the adjustments are being made to accommodate the different school schedules of students in their first week back. The city government has gathered feedback from students and parents to refine the service, aiming for precision and convenience. Initially operating with one bus per route, the service has proven popular, leading to an additional bus being added to the west line last September due to high demand.

For the first week of school, from August 31st to September 4th, return departure times will be adjusted: Hsinchu Senior High School at 4:15 PM, Hsinchu Vocational High School at 4:20 PM, and Jian Gong Senior High School at 4:35 PM. Starting September 7th, the second week of school, return times will revert to the regular schedule: 5:15 PM for Hsinchu Senior High School, 5:20 PM for Hsinchu Vocational High School, and 5:35 PM for Jian Gong Senior High School. Departure times for the morning routes remain unchanged.

The "Golden Commuter Line" has continuously collected feedback from students and parents for rolling adjustments, making the shuttle service more precise and effective.

Despite transportation not being the primary responsibility of the city office, Mayor Cheng emphasized the commitment to supporting Zhubei's students. The "Golden Commuter Line" operates under the spirit of "Last minute, Safe ride," aiming to provide students with a little extra sleep and time for breakfast. The service seeks to offer a seamless and secure commute for high school students traveling across city lines.
