14 BN assemblymen withdraw support in Negeri Sembilan; PM says announcement to follow

A political crisis has erupted in Negeri Sembilan following the unanimous withdrawal of support from 14 Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen for the state's Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun. The assemblymen, led by Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, the Chairman of UMNO Negeri Sembilan, cited a crisis involving the state's adat (customary) institutions and constitution as the reason for their decision, emphasizing the need for these to be respected and defended without political interference.
