2027: No vacancy in Aso Rock, APC women’ll deliver 67% of Tinubu’s votes — Women leader

The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alile Idele, has asserted that the presidential seat in Aso Rock is not available for the 2027 general elections. She stated this in Akure during the "Project 774 Explode Initiative" sensitisation and empowerment program for women.

There is no vacancy in Aso Rock. The women of this country are ready to vote, and if we are not voting, nobody is winning. We are ready to vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027.

Idele expressed strong confidence in women's ability to secure President Bola Tinubu's re-election, predicting they would deliver 67 percent of the votes. "There is no vacancy in Aso Rock. The women of this country are ready to vote, and if we are not voting, nobody is winning," she declared, emphasizing the importance of continuity in governance.

The APC family will be winning the next election without any question of doubt. A lot of difficult decisions have been made, and a lot more need to be made to get to where we are heading.

The APC leader highlighted the Federal Government's student loan scheme as an initiative that warrants continuation. She argued that such programs allow students access to education, countering the notion that education is a scam. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, echoed the sentiment, stating that Nigeria's future hinges on empowering women. He described gender equality as a "moral obligation, a democratic necessity and an economic imperative."

For the first time, students are now getting loans to go to school. That is something you cannot cut short because we need continuity so that our children can go to school and debunk the insinuation that education is a scam.

Adelami noted that women are integral to his administration's development agenda, which includes appointments, entrepreneurship support, and social protection. He urged a shift from mere advocacy to practical actions to increase women's roles in governance. The governor's wife, Mrs. Esther Aiyedatiwa, and the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye, also spoke about the program's goals and the benefits women have received from the current administration's empowerment initiatives.
