2027: Senate spokesman Adaramodu emerges Ekiti South APC consensus candidate

In a significant political development for Ekiti South, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed Senate spokesman Adeyemi Adaramodu as their consensus candidate for the 2027 senatorial elections. This decision, formalized through a letter to the Ekiti State APC chairman and the State Executive Council, signals a unified front for the party in the district.

Following due consultations with stakeholders, leaders, and members of the all progressives congress in ward, local governments and district and in line with directive of the party to adopt consensus where possible, we hereby avail an affirm that Senator Adeyemi Rapheal Adaramodu has emerged as the consensus candidate of our party for the position of Senator in the forth coming senatorial election (2027).

The endorsement followed extensive consultations across the six local government councils that constitute the Ekiti South Senatorial District. Party executives, including the district party chairman Akinwale Olusola, conveyed the decision, emphasizing that it was reached with overwhelming support and without dissent. This consensus-building approach aligns with the party's directive to adopt consensus candidates where feasible, aiming to foster unity and ensure electoral success.

This decision was reached on Monday, 13th of April 2026, at a meeting of stakeholders. Held at Senatorial office, Moshood Road, opposite His Excellency Sir. Abiodun Aluko house… with overwhelming support and without dissent.

The stakeholders expressed their confidence that Adaramodu's candidacy reflects the will of the party members and is crucial for maintaining unity, stability, and ultimately achieving victory for the APC in the district. The letter, accompanied by minutes of the stakeholders' meeting, formally presents Adaramodu to the state party working committee for the necessary steps to formalize his candidacy.
