Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 to stay second in Premier League

Arsenal overturned an early deficit to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the London derby at the Emirates Stadium, preserving a perfect start after three Premier League matches.

Chelsea struck only two minutes into the match. Morgan Rogers collected a pass near the edge of the penalty area and sent a shot into the left side of David Raya's goal. Arsenal thought it had equalized through Riccardo Calafiori in the 12th minute, but VAR ruled out the effort for an offside in the buildup.

The hosts drew level in the 25th minute when Kai Havertz broke through the Chelsea defense and placed his shot into the bottom-right corner. Chelsea nearly retook the lead before halftime, but Pedro Neto's effort from the edge of the box hit the post.

Arsenal took control immediately after the break. Martin Odegaard received a well-timed pass during a quick attack and fired into the top of the net in the 50th minute. Chelsea continued to search for an equalizer, but Raya saved efforts from Cole Palmer and Estavao, while Malo Gusto shot over the bar.

The win gave Arsenal nine points, level with Manchester City at the top of the standings. Chelsea remained fourth on six points after three matches.
