Artist Mihai Trăistariu Endures 'Nightmare Nights' in Mamaia Nord Due to Festival Noise, Claims Walls Cracked

The vibrant coastal resort of Mamaia Nord, usually a haven for holidaymakers, became a source of distress for renowned artist Mihai Trăistariu during the recent long holiday weekend. Trăistariu, who owns several studio apartments in the area, found his peace shattered by a music festival held in close proximity to his properties. He describes two nights of relentless, high-decibel noise and powerful vibrations, which he claims have caused physical damage to his apartments and severely impacted his well-being.

He elaborates that the sheer intensity of the bass from the festival's sound system caused the very structure of his building to shake. "It's not just the music, but the block that shakes from its foundations. Like an earthquake with 10,000 aftershocks," he lamented, emphasizing the prolonged nature of the disturbance, which lasted from evening until the early hours of the morning.

The artist's frustration extends beyond mere sleep deprivation. He reports discovering cracks in his apartment walls, which he attributes directly to the intense bass vibrations. "My walls cracked from the bass yesterday. Probably it's like that in the whole area," he noted, expressing concern that other residents might be facing similar issues. While Trăistariu acknowledges the economic benefits and the enjoyment derived from such festivals, he strongly advocates for responsible event planning. "I understand perfectly the fun... But it must be taken into account that there are also people who want and need to sleep," he stated, urging organizers to consider the impact on the thousands of residents in Mamaia Nord. He proposes that festivals be relocated to areas further from residential zones, ensuring that entertainment does not come at the cost of citizens' health and property.
