Beware: Apartment buildings can pose a 'reiderism' risk

Legal expert Kalvis Vītoliņš cautions that in some extreme scenarios, the only recourse for affected owners might be to sell their property. He explains that once a certain ownership structure is established, individual owners may find their ability to influence crucial decisions severely diminished, making it difficult to protect their interests.

This situation can arise from various factors, including the accumulation of ownership by a few individuals or entities who then dictate building management and finances.
