BN candidate Mohamad Hasan casts vote in Rantau, hopes for high turnout

Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, the Barisan Nasional candidate for the Rantau state seat, cast his vote early Saturday morning at the SJKC Chung Hua Rantau polling station. He arrived with his wife, Datin Seri Raja Salbiah Tengku Nujumudin, around 8:50 a.m.

Observing the orderly process, Mohamad Hasan noted the significant turnout since the morning. He urged all Rantau voters to cast their ballots promptly, anticipating potential rain in the afternoon. As the Member of Parliament for Rembau, he also expressed his hope for a high voter turnout across Negeri Sembilan for the state election.

"If we can achieve the usual 70 to 75 percent, that would be sufficient," he stated. He explained that many registered voters in Rantau no longer live there, including military personnel and former police officers who have moved without updating their voting addresses. "If we can get a turnout of 70 to 75 percent today in Rantau and all of Negeri Sembilan, that would already be good, as that is the turnout percentage in every election," he added.

Mohamad Hasan is seeking to retain the Rantau seat, which he has held since 2004. His challenger in this election is Dr. Azizul Hakim Mahdi from Pakatan Harapan.
