Bulog Maluku Targets 5,000 Tons of Farmer Rice Absorption by 2026

Perum Bulog's regional office for Maluku and North Maluku is demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting local agriculture by setting an ambitious target to absorb 5,000 tons of rice from farmers by the end of 2026. This goal is a significant increase from previous targets and reflects the agency's success in exceeding expectations, having already absorbed over 2,600 tons in the early part of the year.

The strategic focus on key rice production areas, including Pulau Buru and the Kobisonta region in Central Maluku, as well as Gemba in West Seram, ensures that Bulog's efforts directly benefit farming communities. The collaborative approach, involving the Dinas Pertanian (Agriculture Office), farmer groups (gapoktan), rice mill entrepreneurs, and the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces), is crucial for efficient and widespread absorption.
