Bus Crash in Gia Lai Claims One Life, Injures Two

Tragedy struck on National Highway 25 in Gia Lai province as a passenger bus veered off the road, claiming a life and leaving two others critically injured. The incident, which occurred early on May 8, has cast a shadow over the region.

The 16-seater bus, operated by the H.P bus company, was en route from Phu Tuc commune to Pleiku city when the driver, identified as Tran Van H., 54, lost control near Buon Phum village in Uar commune. The vehicle veered sharply off the road, resulting in the immediate death of 75-year-old V.T.H. and serious injuries to fellow passengers Le Kim H. and Nguyen Viet H., both residents of Phu Tuc.

Initial investigations suggest that the driver's inability to control his speed on a curve led to the loss of control. While the driver tested negative for alcohol, authorities are continuing to test for drug use. This unfortunate event serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and adherence to speed limits, especially on challenging stretches of highway.
