Certificate of Knowledge Proficiency for Naturalization: When Will Exam Results Be Announced?

The Ministry of Interior's General Secretariat for Citizenship is nearing the announcement of results for the Certificate of Knowledge Proficiency for Naturalization (P.E.G.P.) exams. Candidates eagerly await the outcomes, which are anticipated by the end of the current month. These examinations are a critical step for individuals seeking to obtain Greek citizenship, serving as a testament to their understanding of the country's language, history, geography, political institutions, and culture.

The recent examination session, held on Sunday, April 26th, saw an impressive turnout. Out of 5,016 registered applicants, a remarkable 4,741 candidates participated, reflecting a 94.52% engagement rate. The exams were administered across 79 testing centers nationwide, with special provisions made for candidates with specific needs who underwent oral examinations in nine of these centers.

This rigorous process is a cornerstone of the naturalization procedure in Greece. The high participation rate suggests a strong desire among applicants to integrate into Greek society and fulfill the requirements for citizenship. The previous examination in November 2025 saw a pass rate of 44.55%, indicating the challenging nature of the assessment.
