Chiayi Launches 'Cultural Technology OpenLab' to Foster AI and XR Innovation

Chiayi is stepping onto the national stage as a burgeoning hub for cultural and technological innovation with the grand opening of the 'Cultural Technology OpenLab'. This pioneering initiative, a joint venture between the Ministry of Culture and the esteemed Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), is poised to revolutionize how cultural content is created, experienced, and commercialized.

The OpenLab, strategically located within the Chiayi Cultural and Creative Industries Park, is designed as a dynamic experimental base. It harnesses the power of cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR) to push the boundaries of cultural expression. From the initial spark of creation to immersive performances and rigorous market testing, the facility offers a comprehensive ecosystem for creators and innovators.

Already, seven diverse teams have established their presence within the OpenLab, actively engaged in validating their content and refining their business models. They benefit from the state-of-the-art technical resources and dedicated venue space, facilitating rapid optimization and accelerating the journey from concept to market.
