Constituent Welfare is Kak Ta's Priority in Sena DUN

In the Sena state constituency, Datin Marzita Mansor, affectionately known as Kak Ta, places the welfare of her constituents at the forefront of her agenda, balancing it with essential development projects. As the assemblywoman, she is consistently among the first to offer support and listen to the concerns of the community, especially during times of crisis or disaster.

Welfare is not just about extending help but requires the presence of leaders when the people need them. It is important to allow elected representatives to hear their grievances and ensure they do not feel alone during hardship.

Although this is Marzita's first term as a people's representative after winning the 15th General Election under the Perikatan Nasional ticket, she has quickly adapted to her role. Her responsibilities include serving as a member of the Perlis State Executive Council and chairing the state's Women, Family, and Community Development Committee. Her prior experience as a councilor for the Kangar Municipal Council and as a political secretary to federal ministers has equipped her with a deep understanding of public needs and political dynamics.

Marzita's role as an Exco member requires her to be actively present among the people, not just in Sena but across the entire state. She was notably one of the first leaders to visit flood evacuation centers during last year's major floods, ensuring that the affected residents received the necessary support. Her background as a former teacher also fuels her commitment to prioritizing education for the state's youth.

As a mother, Kak Ta also understands the feelings of children who are far from home, forced to leave their parents and families behind in the village. Of course, they will feel more at ease knowing that their parents, families, and loved ones are always being looked after by their representative.

She believes that welfare extends beyond mere aid; it requires a leader's physical presence to hear grievances and assure constituents they are not alone in their struggles. As a mother herself, Marzita understands the anxieties of those whose families are far away. She finds that knowing their loved ones are being attended to by their representative brings peace of mind. This understanding strengthens her resolve to prioritize welfare and witness firsthand the challenges faced by the people.
