During the second hearing of the acid attack case against activist Andrie Yunus, the military court raised serious questions about the security measures in place at the BAIS TNI (Indonesian Army Strategic Intelligence Agency) headquarters. The presiding judges expressed astonishment at the seemingly lax security at the main entrance, which reportedly allowed personnel and others to come and go without rigorous checks.

Testimony from Sertu Arif Firdaus, a security officer at Denma BAIS TNI, revealed that the main gate was kept open, serving as a primary access point to the parking area. This openness, according to Firdaus, meant that individuals could pass through without significant hindrance, a point that deeply troubled the court.

The judges' concern was further amplified by the revelation that CCTV footage capturing the movements of the accused members around the time of the attack—specifically their return to the BAIS TNI headquarters at approximately 1:00 AM—was not secured. While CCTV cameras are present, the agency's policy of retaining footage for only one to two weeks meant crucial evidence for the investigation was lost.
