Culture-first approach key for Mooar

Incoming Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Brad Mooar is setting his sights beyond immediate results, making the cultivation of a strong team culture his top priority for the 2027 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season. Mooar, formerly an assistant coach for the Crusaders and the All Blacks, believes that fostering an environment where players and staff are inspired to commit to the club is paramount.

"My biggest KPI for 2027 is that we have a group of people, everyone that has been part of the Drua by the end of the season wants to stay," Mooar stated. He emphasizes that success on the field will naturally follow if the club prioritizes its internal culture. This involves creating an experience that not only challenges and improves individuals but also fosters enjoyment during both favorable and difficult times.

The New Zealander is confident that by building an environment that people are eager to be a part of, the Fijian Drua will see improved performances and ultimately achieve better results in the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific season.
